December workshop

October 24, 2011

Over the past few months we’ve had a tremendous amount of upswell in questions and discussion revolving around how we are training people in discipleship and mission. As a response, we’ve put together a workshop in December (and possibly one in January if there’s enough interest). You’ll get full access to me, our team, our homes and lives, etc. It’s 2.5 days and very inexpensive. Space is limited, so you’ll want to register really soon by clicking here.

Here are the details:

December 13-15: Starting @ 2pm on Tuesday and ending @ 1.30pm on Thursday

Pawleys Island, SC (the beach!)

$99 -The cost of the event will cover the expense of the dinners for the two nights of the workshop and attendees pick up the cost of their lunches.

If you’d like a bit more information (including some FAQ’s), you can click here.

I am going to run this past my pastor and leadership team. I think they’ll be interested. The dates are conflicting for me though. We might prefer a January date. Thanks, Brian

Brian, depending on how quickly December fills up, we may offer some January dates as well. We’ll have to see.

Hi Mike, is this the same as a Taster? Or is this different? I remember seeing the Tasters being free, so I’m a little confused. Looking forward to hearing back from you.

Gerald, there will be a little overlap in content with the Taster, but this is much more workshop-like. You get to experience huddles, Missional Communities, team consultations, whiteboard report outs, create a plan with your team, lots of Q & A, time on the beach, team dinners, etc. So a little crossover in content, but a lot more interactive stuff at work.

Thanks Mike. Sounds interesting. Do you have a Taster coming up anytime soon? Who would you recommend go to a Taster vs.a Workshop? Just trying to determine what would be best for me and my team. We’re coming all the way from Toronto, Canada, so with flights, etc. around the Christmas season, things start adding up for us. Looking forward to your response.

Gerald, we’re going through a period where we are going to do workshops as opposed to Tasters. We think we’ll be able to give a better and more fruitful experience for people. If you’re not able to do December (either with schedule or prices), we’re looking at doing another in January b/c this one is filling up!

I registered last week but was wondering if there is any way to get transport from the airport- MYR- to the venue. Any insight into this? Thanks, Karl, Louisville, KY

Karl, I don’t think there is a shuttle service, but I could be wrong. The place most people stay at is the Litchfield Golf and Beach Resort, so you may want to check there. However, it may be easiest just to rent a car for the 3 days you’re with us. We’ll be doing dinners at people’s houses to show what missional communities are like and you’ll want to make sure you’re able to get to those.
